Course Description
The photographs that we have of our pets are precious to us, precisely because the time we spend with them is equally as valuable. If you’ve ever wondered how to get better at capturing your dog’s lovable energy on camera, look no further!

Join us for this 2-day dog portrait photography workshop, where you will be able to learn how to photograph your fur babies using photography techniques such as composition, lighting, and directing.

This workshop is designed for participant pairs, with each pair to bring one dog to the workshop. It is crucial that participants are able to manage their dog well in the presence of other dogs.

Participants will only need to bring their dogs along for the second session on Sun 20 Oct, as a model dog will be present during the first session for participants to photograph and focus on learning the photography techniques.

Workshop fee
$220 (per pair)

About the instructors
TRB & Co. was co-founded by Freda and Xiaohui, passionate dog moms of three rescue dogs and lifelong animal lovers. As creative producers and set directors, transitioning into pet portraits felt like a natural step for them. The mission of TRB & Co. is to capture the genuine connection and fleeting moments between pets and their owners—with a focus on raw, unscripted moments.

With about 3 years’ experience of multiple home and adventure photography sessions for pets and their families, Freda and Xiaohui are excited to share their expertise. In this session, their goal is to teach pet owners the basics of photography, enabling them to capture beautiful everyday moments of their pets.

Though self-taught in photography, Freda and Xiaohui bring decades of experience in digital content production, including work for Meta, Walt Disney, ArtScience Museum, Zouk, Common Man Coffee Roasters, Drink Morning, The Gentle Pet Store, food and beverage industries, and still-life projects. Their creative backgrounds, combined with extensive hands-on experience with dogs of various ages and temperaments, have also inspired them to create unique, seasonal photobooths for both pets and their owners.
