The Women in Film & Photography Showcase celebrates extraordinary and groundbreaking works by women photographers and filmmakers, highlighting the important contributions that women make to the arts.
In this 2nd edition, documentary works take centre stage. For Women in Photography, we are delighted to co-present this edition with the Magnum Foundation. Originating from countries ranging from Egypt to the Philippines, Jordan to Singapore, the works of 18 photographers document the lives of the disenfranchised and marginalised by creating unique and powerful visual narratives. In our Women in Film programme, we celebrate the achievements of women working in the film industry, the programme highlights the career of acclaimed film editor Mary Stephen alongside short and feature-length documentaries by women filmmakers.
